Milly has kindled May 27th. She had seven kits, five survived. They are beautifully marked kits. Four are black and one is gray. Milly was bred to Sarge who our new black buck who came to us from Mitch William's Rabbitry in Oklahoma. This little buck has an amazing pedigree and a promising life as a show rabbit. We can't wait to see how the kits develop.
Milly also has a great pedigree. Only three in her line are not ARBA Grand Champions. She is blue steel with is not a recognized variety but she will make beautiful kits.

Our girls have been hard at work this year. We have had many litters and have found homes for them all. We love that our kits will be well cared for and that we care share our love of bunnies with others. They truly make remarkable pets.
The litter pictured is from our black doe, Dolly. She is one of our best mamas. She had five kits total, three black and two tortoise.
Milly has also been bred and should be kindling soon.

We have new babies that are ready for their new homes. We've sold out quickly this year. This was Cleo's first litter. She had five kits but unfortunately only three survived. They all found new home shortly after being weaned. Dottie had four kits, two with a broke blue coat and two solid opal. They are all does. We will be showing them at the Carthage ARBA show next Sunday to see how they do.

Our nesting box is once again overflowing. Dusty has had a beautiful litter of seven opal kits, born May 1st. All seven are healthy and thriving. They've just started opening their eyes. Dusty is our best mama rabbit. She assures that her babies have a soft comfortable nesting box by arranging hay and fur. We handle the bunnies daily to ensure that they are tame and used to human interaction.

I'm sure that I've said this before but these have to be about the cutest kits we've had in our rabbit barn. These are Dottie's babies, one of our broken opal does. They have the cutest markings. We're going to have a hard time selling these little ones. Dottie had four kits in this litter, the three pictured and a solid opal. They were born May 1st and have just begun to open their eyes and venture out of the nest. I love when the reach this age. They're so curious.

Today Betty had a litter of nine kits. So far all seem to be healthy. This is Betty's fourth litter, I do believe that she finally has mama rabbiting down. She build a great nest for her babies. I will have pictures soon.
This will be our last litter before the summer heat hits. The extreme Kansas heat already puts our rabbits through stress, we can't put our girls through even more by breeding them in the heat.
April 12, 2017 Our nesting box is overflowing at the moment as we prepare for the fair. We're hoping to take some of our own kits this year. Brown Betty and Dusty Rose have both had beautiful litters that are about three weeks old now. Dusty's babies are more advanced than Betty's. I believe they will be weaned soon and ready to go to their new homes. Betty had a littler of nine so they are a little smaller and will need another three weeks until they're ready.
We are excited to welcome a broken opal mini rex doe to our rabbitry that Cady has decided to name Dottie. I will be posting her picture soon. We bred her to Rex today, April 12th. Hopefully in thirty days we will be placing another nesting box. We also bred Dusty back to Rex. She is such a good mama and always has healthy kits. I will keep you posted on their status.
Our kits are going fast. If you are interested in owning a Prairie Rabbit please let us know soon and we will put your name on a waiting list.
April 7th, 2017 Brown Betty has had a beautiful litter of nine kits born on March 22nd. We lost two but the other seven are two weeks old now and thriving. These will all be grey in color. I haven't yet checked to see what genders they are, it's hard to tell when they're so little. I will check when they are a little older. They main thing now is that they are all healthy and happy hoppers.
April 7th, 2017 Dusty Rose has had a beautiful litter of five kits born March 23rd. All five of them are fat and sassy. The kits are all opal with the crisp fawn intermittent bands of color. These babies are really beautifully colored.
