Cleo is a beautifully mark black Dutch. We bought he from Bungalow of Bunnies, the same breeder that we got Brown Betty from. In fact Cleo and Betty share the same sire, Bergene's Nile. Unfortunately she does have a split stop which is when the black coloring runs into the toes. This will disqualify her in the show ring so we are unable to show her but we can still breed her. She has already had one litter which included a black steel kit.
Jeanie
Jeanie is a black Dutch doe. She began our love for this breed as she is very gentle and very mellow. Jeanie has had two litters and is a terrific mama to her kits. We plan on breeding her with our gray buck, California Dreamer, soon. The combination of black and gray usually yields black steel kits. Black steel is a recognized color by ARBA and ADBA. Unfortunately, Jeanie does not have a pedigree but her kits will still qualify to be shown at the county level.
Bungalow's Brown Betty-Fully Pedigreed
Brown Betty is a fully pedigreed gray Dutch. Betty is the daughter of Bungalow's Cupcake and Bergene's Nile, two outstanding Dutch rabbit breeders in Missouri. Betty has had three litters now and is becoming a great mama. Rabbits learn by experience how to take care of their kits and for Betty, third time really is the charm. Her third litter consisted of nine kits. All but two are healthy and thriving.
